Mariah Salguero
As a social worker, I specialize in anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem, relationship and interpersonal issues, and grief counseling for a range of populations, including adolescents, young adults, and older adults. I’ve supported patients in managing these various challenges that affect mental health throughout my career, bringing the same attentiveness and integrity to every person I work with. This combination allows me to be a supportive clinician, and I'm looking forward to providing you a safe space to do the work of your mental health journey.
Person-centered, non-judgmental, and collaborative care isn't just a description of my approach; it's the foundation of how I show up for you. I’m passionate about creating a safe, authentic, and open space where you can learn more about yourself in therapy.
Sessions draw on strengths-based and person-focused therapy to support your mental health journey, and my style stays adaptable so I can meet you where you are. That flexibility lets me shape our work around the goals that matter most to you.
Therapy has always called to me. Since I was young, I've been the friend who listens and supports the people around me, offering insight and space to those who want to be heard. In college, I was inspired by my neuropsychology professor, who described the function of our brains and nervous system, and I've felt drawn to this work ever since. I bring all of these experiences and interests with me in providing authentic, person-centered care today.
When I’m not in session, you’ll most often find me singing, playing tennis, or traveling!
