I offer EMDR and talk therapy for individuals (18+) and couples. I widely use attachment focused and trauma informed approach in my treatment, as well as solution-focused approach. With more than 20 years of nursing experience, I specialize in psychiatry and medication management for adults navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, OCD, and ADHD. My focus on individualized treatment means that every plan we build together is tailored to you — your experiences, your story, and your goals. I deeply value the opportunity to listen to your unique story. Understanding your journey and aspirations is what allows me to understand you, and that knowledge shapes everything about how we work together. I believe in fostering a supportive environment where you feel empowered to share these experiences and set meaningful goals for your mental health that promote overall well-being If you’re ready to live your best life, I invite you to reach out for support on this important journey. I take a human-to-human approach to mental health care. That means you are never a diagnosis or a checklist to me – you are a person, and your care reflects that. When we work together, you can expect a genuinely supportive and compassionate experience, as I prioritize creating a safe space where you feel understood and valued. Staying current with the latest advancements in mental health treatment is also essential to me, because it allows me to offer you the most effective and innovative care. My holistic approach brings these evidence-based practices together with personal insight, so that our sessions are responsive to who you are and what you actually need. Together, we will navigate your path toward healing with empathy and dedication. My path to psychiatric care was shaped by watching people I love face the challenges of mental health struggles and the difficulty of finding care that was truly personalized to them. This experience profoundly influenced my commitment to providing personalized and compassionate support. Now, I approach every appointment with the understanding that feeling heard is not a luxury in mental health care, but the starting point. My goal is to make sure you feel seen and understood as we work together on your well-being. I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities that help me maintain a healthy work-life balance. Whether hiking through nature, paddle boarding on tranquil waters, rafting down thrilling rivers, or spending quality time with my family, I believe that these experiences enrich my life and enhance my ability to care for others
Most of the students I work with are figuring out who they are while juggling school, family, friendships, and their future. Many feel the weight of being “the strong one” for everyone else, but behind closed doors they’re tired, anxious, or questioning if they’re enough. Some are navigating being away from home for the first time, carrying family expectations, or balancing the pressure to succeed with the need to just breathe. Others feel out of place on campus and want a space where they don’t have to explain themselves or code-switch. I connect best with young people under 25 who are ready for honest conversations, who value a therapist that will both listen deeply and challenge them to grow. My goal is to give you room to unpack your story, understand your emotions, and figure out how to move through stress, relationships, and identity with more clarity and confidence.
My goal for you is to provide a safe space that allows you to explore those areas of your life that are hindering you showing up as your best self. My practice style is one of a whole person approach, taking into consideration your own personal world, the interactions, challenges, successes and your supportive relationships. My practice approach is tailored to your needs and may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR/ Trauma Therapy, Goal-Oriented Brief Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, as well as yoga and meditation if that resonates with you and your path of healing. I practice from a non judgmental perspective and provide a safe environment to facilitate healing. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, feeling stressed and unbalanced or the loss of a loved one or relationship, I can help you work through challenges and develop goals to become grounded again. The path to becoming whole again can often take someone walking beside you and encouraging you, while facilitating the exploration of your own solutions. You know deep down in your heart of hearts what it is you may need, and I am here to help you draw on that inner resiliency, providing tools and skills that you can take with you as you face life head on.
As human beings, we often find ourselves wanting more freedom, or perhaps wanting more purpose in our lives, or craving a sense of inner peace. Other times, we find ourselves caught up in difficult and challenging relationships in our personal lives or at work. Whether your life feels overwhelming or underwhelming, I believe that care and courage, along with some healthy curiosity can go a long way in helping you locate new possibilities and finding solutions that work for you. My process is not a one-size-fits-all affair. Indeed, the work we do together is unique to each and every individual I encounter and always begins with accepting you just as you are. Beginning the self-exploration of therapy is an act of courage. I respect your bravery by always providing a calm, warm, and nonjudgmental space to discuss and process your concerns. Together, we’ll collaborate in clarifying your goals, identifying effective strategies, and finding a path that will work for you.
Erbie is a Licensed Social Worker dedicated to creating affirming, trauma-informed spaces where healing and self-determination can take root. With experience in crisis settings, case management, and community-based advocacy, Erbie supports clients as they navigate complex life transitions, questions of identity and belonging, and the lasting impacts of trauma and systemic inequities. High Mountain Counseling's mission is to change the very face of mental health by providing high quality clinical care while simultaneously breaking stereotypes that have often plagued therapists and the mental health community; ultimately to open a door of exploration to each person of what it means to be human.
I am a dual licensed therapist close to CSU and UW in Laramie, WY. My background in Animal Assisted Social Work and being a military veteran give me unique experiences to serve student veteran clients and clients that are in need of assistance moving to the next step of adulthood.
When you’re in need of compassionate mental health care, you deserve genuine openness from a therapist who strives to be your advocate at all times. I look forward to being that advocate for you, learning more about who you are as an individual while exploring the ways we can achieve your collaborative goals together. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner with more than a decade of experience, I help adults navigate challenges posed by depressive and anxiety disorders as well as assist with processing and treating trauma and grief that individuals have experienced throughout their lives. My goal is to make in-depth inquiries and connections that get to the root of your struggles and build the skills needed to overcome any obstacle. I'm passionate about helping redefine the past and instilling hope for greater mental wellness. That’s why my method is centered around openness and grounded in the idea that you are not broken and needing to be "fixed." Instead, we use your life experiences to heal and explore the person you would like to be. In our time together, you can expect a kind, casual, and inquisitive environment when exploring your symptoms and history. I operate with a person-centered, Rogerian approach, using the concept of "unconditional positive regard" and a conversational style, so you feel understood in a non-judgmental way and at ease when discussing difficult history. I have served the Denver community as a psychiatric nurse practitioner based in mental health for the majority of my career. During this time, I had the honor of treating a wide number of diagnoses and severities of symptoms across ages, backgrounds, and socioeconomic hardships. These experiences taught me just how nuanced mental health care truly is, allowing me to see a person not as "one diagnosis," but to take into account their entire history, relationship dynamics, and values to best tailor treatment, leading to greater well-being. When I’m not in my therapist role, I am a hobbyist woodworker and woodturner. I enjoy building and tinkering with models, as well as other creative outlets like cooking and baking sourdough bread.

"I can't find meaning in life" ... "I don't know how to be real with myself or those around me" ... "I don’t feel connected to my partner anymore." Everyone wants to feel connected. We yearn to feel we belong and have meaning in who we are and what we do. Yet, it is not always that easy. I get it. However, I believe therapy can be a space for us to work together on finding meaning and developing the relationships you want. That is why I am here. To see you, to hear your voice, to understand your story, and to walk alongside you to get to where you want to go. Above all else, I believe in utilizing a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach to counseling to understand all of who you are--your thoughts, feelings, somatic experiences, desires, beliefs, and relationships. This way, you can become more aligned with your heart, mind, and body, working together to achieve your goals. In addition, I believe in using your values, purpose, and "why's" to help you align what you are doing and want to do with why you want to do it. As Friedrich Nietzsche states, "He who has a why to live can bear almost any how."
My therapeutic approach is strengths-based. I work with my clients to identify skills and assets and emphasize and refine them over time. Collaboratively, we look for new methods of coping and healing. I have specialized training in suicide-loss, trauma, LGBTQIA+, gifted and talented, grief and loss as well as ketamine-assisted therapy. I was also on the US Ski Team so I understand the psychology of performance and pressure.
Authenticity is central to my work—I show up as my full self so you can feel safe doing the same. As a queer and neurodivergent therapist, I’m passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ and late-identified neurodivergent individuals in unmasking, exploring identity, and building lives that feel genuine and sustainable. My approach is eclectic and inclusive, drawing from multiple modalities to create care that fits you. I integrate Geek Therapy and continually work to decolonize my practice. I’m sex-positive, kink-aware, and affirming of LGBTQ+ and ENM identities. Let’s work together to help you feel more fully, authentically you.
I strive to foster personal growth and understanding in order to heal from past wounds and resolve current psychological distress. I do this by providing a safe and non-judgmental space where people of all different backgrounds can feel comfortable sharing their struggles. It is a privilege to walk alongside you during difficult times and see you overcome your current obstacles. I seek understanding of your experience through questions, exploration, and taking on a learner’s perspective. Although I am well versed in mental health disorders and treatment, I see you as the expert of yourself. This is your life and your story. I want to collaborate with you to find the best solutions for you. I will offer tools, strategies, and skills. Most importantly, I offer a place for you to be heard and understood. Together we will learn what works best for you. My goal is for you to leave therapy feeling confident in trusting yourself and your ability to handle what life presents.

If insight alone hasn’t changed your patterns, something deeper is begging to be understood. High functioing anxiety? Disconnected, or stuck in repeating relationship and life patterns? Overwhelmed or just plain blah? It's life changing to incorporate body, mind and heart to fully develop a strong internal sense of self. I integrate psychotherapy with the Enneagram and yoga therapy to uncover the unconscious patterns driving stress, attachment, and emotional reactivity. Knowing your Enneagram type and subtype often accelerates therapy by revealing why you cope the way you do—so change becomes embodied, precise, and lasting. With 25+ years of experience, I offer a holistic, trauma-informed approach integrating cognitive behavioral and somatic therapy. My style is straightforward and supportive. As a 2x published author, Enneagram-certified therapist, and yoga therapist, I work with individuals and couples to customize mind-body treatment that supports real, lasting change. Witnessing the transformation as you move from wounded, unbalanced and fearful, to being empowered, focused and self-reliant, is one of my greatest rewards. The power of growth never fails to amaze me, and I am grateful to be part of your journey! I welcome you to begin this process! Now, all you have to do is click the button to start. I've got you! :)
As a multicultural woman, I not only have personal experience with historical trauma, intergenerational trauma, and women's issues, but I also specialize in grief and loss, sexual assault/violence, suicidality, relationship issues, transitional difficulties, depression, anxiety, identity formation, and more. With experience serving ages 12-adult, I aim to create a safe space to explore an array of different obstacles within the human experience to leave my clients feeling empowered and heard. With a deep personal and professional understanding of social work, social justice, social change, and historical trauma, I align myself in support of the acknowledgement and healing of all Indigenous Peoples, the Black Lives Matter Movement and Black / African American folks as well as many multicultural minoritized individuals and communities experiencing racialized trauma and injustice, as well as the LGBTQIA+ communities continuing to fight every day for equity across systems. I have a well-rounded perspective on spirituality, and challenge myself to do continued allyship work within myself and my practice to show up for the intersections of my clients with a mindfulness around impact, action, and honoring the innate dignity of the whole person.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you're juggling school, relationships, family expectations, or just trying to figure out who you are and what matters to you. I work best with students who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or like they’re carrying more than they can manage alone. You might be navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, family conflict, or a major life transition—and I’m here to help you feel grounded again. My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I’ll never judge you for what you’re feeling. Instead, I’ll support you in understanding yourself better and building tools to manage what’s hard. Before opening my private practice, I worked for years in a medical setting supporting young people and families through complex challenges. Today, I specialize in working with individuals living with chronic illnesses, as well as the caregivers and siblings who support them—but many of my clients also come to me with everyday stress, identity questions, or big decisions about the future. If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you where you are, help you make sense of your experiences, and walk alongside you as you grow, I’d love to connect.
