My practice is dedicated to working with people who are seeking emotional emancipation. They desire to claim or reclaim their lives after traumatic experiences or relational struggles that have left them feeling down, anxious, lonely, confused or scared and often don't really know how to begin to be different in the midst of all of these feelings. Working with me means exploring together the experiences that make you who you are by looking both at what your life is like today and how your past is informing that life. From this vantage, you can learn to make choices for yourself, freeing the yourself to engage in a life of your own making. I offer a free consultation and my fee is $300.

We offer a full recovery continuum of care for adult men and women focused on experiential and evidence based modalities. Our curriculum is trauma focused and CBT based, with an emphasis on reparative somatic experiencing, mindfulness, and evidence based therapies to equip our clients with tools for long term, sustainable recovery. We offer Medication Assisted Treatment and have a Psychiatrist, Physician's Assistant, Registered Nurse, and Medical Assistant on staff to monitor medications. We are accredited by The Joint Commission, and have established in-network contracts with many providers (like BCBS, Cigna, United, Humana, Tricare Prime, and more) to make treatment accessible.

Hi, I'm Dr. Franks! When I see students, I conduct an initial session where I provide a diagnosis (if present) and can recommend and provide medications and/or therapy for treatment. I enjoy working with students because their task to start living on their own and develop their own identity is uniquely challenging and exciting. I can help with the diagnosis and treatment of things like depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, psychosis, etc. Symptoms that my patients commonly struggle with include worry, sadness, suicidal thinking, stress, insomnia, and trouble concentrating. I am passionate about working with motivated students to help them thrive during their time in college. I completed my undergraduate education at the University of Denver, earning degrees in Biology, Chemistry, and French. I completed my medical and residency training at the University of Colorado, where I had the privilege of serving as Chief Resident. I have since worked in private practice. Windhorse Community Services is a home-based treatment program. Clients live in their own homes/apartments and are offered a wide range of supportive services. A Windhorse therapeutic team can include basic attendance, intensive psychotherapy, therapeutic housemate as needed, family therapy, employment services and community programs. Using materials like paint, clay, and pastel, you'll explore your emotions, build self esteem, take healthy risks, problem solve, and sometimes just play and discover! You'll also practice coping skills, mindfulness, body awareness, relational skills, boundary setting, identifying/processing/regulating emotions, & dive into how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. I personally know what it’s like to deeply struggle through teen and young adult years. And I know what it’s like to receive help, work through it, and come out on the other side empowered.
