I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and transgender man whose work centers on understanding how trauma shapes people and supporting healing from those experiences. I also specialize in working with LGBTQ+ clients, offering care that helps people feel seen, affirmed, and understood—often in ways they may not have experienced before. Life is heavy when you are disoriented after leaving a belief system or being alienated and trying to cope while longing for healing when all you want to do is rest. I create a space of safety, curiosity, and genuine connection for people making sense of what they've lived through and the world they now inhabit. Together, we build understanding and gently create more room for relief, peace, and self-trust. It's okay if therapy feels intimidating or confusing, and it's okay if you don't have the right words to begin. If meaning feels distant, your mind won’t quiet, or the past keeps intruding on the present, you’re not alone—and I may be a good fit. Healing doesn’t mean forgetting or fixing what happened. Often, it looks like feeling more at home in yourself, having greater choice in how you respond, and finding moments of steadiness—even when life remains complex.
I partner with clients to navigate life transitions, addressing challenges such as grief, loss, and anxiety. As an adept practitioner of EMDR therapy, I employ an eclectic and mindful approach to help individuals overcome trauma and align their lives with their values. Specializing as a relationship expert, I offer guidance to individuals and couples, focusing on enhancing communication skills and nurturing secure functioning relationships. Committed to LGBTQIA+ support, I maintain a sex-positive and body-positive stance, recognizing the transformative and healing potential inherent in each individual.

At Congruency Counseling, we genuinely love working with college students and young adults. This season of life is exciting, challenging, and full of possibility—you’re emotionally aware, figuring out who you are, and still open to growth and change. There’s so much of your future ahead of you, and that can feel both hopeful and overwhelming at the same time. Many students come to us feeling anxious about school stress, friendships, dating relationships, or the pressure of figuring out what’s next. You might notice anxiety when thinking about your future, feel stuck in self-doubt, or struggle with low mood, confidence, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others. You don’t have to go through that alone. We work with clients of all ages, and we have special care and experience supporting people with anxiety, depression, attachment wounds, self-esteem, self-confidence, and the general desire to grow and live life more fully. Our goal is to offer a supportive, honest, and encouraging space where you can better understand yourself, build healthier patterns, and move toward the life you want. We’d love for you to consider Congruency Counseling as a resource and a place to be supported as you work toward becoming the best version of yourself.
I am a psychotherapist, astrologer, and nurturing guide on the path to remembering our wholeness. I have been a licensed professional counselor, offering services in the Boulder Community for 14 years, including community mental health, primary care and private practice. As an intuitive soul, I facilitate clients of all ages through a transformative and empowering process that results in meaningful integration, alignment to calling, and a curiosity around personal and interpersonal depth. My aim is to serve clients who are awakening to their innermost authenticity and truth. My work is informed by evidenced-based practices, astrology, myth, transpersonal methodologies and Ecopsychology.
Many students have mental health concerns from time to time. We feel stuck or face certain challenges. Sometimes we know what’s wrong and other times, we have the nagging sensation that something feels “off.” It can be stress, anxiety, depression, or academic pressures. When we understand the causes of your troubles, we can alleviate your symptoms. And, when we do, you’ll feel renewed and be a better student, friend, romantic partner, son or daughter. When your desire for your own welfare overrules your limiting beliefs and negative self-talk, what you aspire to starts flowing into your lives—be it a relationship, academic success. Your manifestations become effortless, without internal strife and resistance.
Sage Integrative Psychiatry is a private psychiatric practice dedicated to providing a personalized, holistic, and evidence-based approach to mental health care. I focus on integrative treatment, combining medication management, psychotherapy, and lifestyle interventions to support the whole person—mind and body. At Sage, I believe in a collaborative and individualized approach, tailoring treatment plans to meet each client’s unique needs. My philosophy emphasizes compassionate care, empowerment, and long-term well-being. Whether addressing ADHD, anxiety, depression, or other mental health concerns, I prioritize a patient-centered experience that fosters growth, healing, and resilience.
With experience in high-acuity and residential settings, I specialize in trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, and acute crisis intervention for adolescents, adults, and families. This includes psychosis, suicidality, substance use, trauma, and behavioral challenges. Together, we'll work on identifying triggers, managing intense emotions, developing effective communication skills, and building healthy coping skills that feel authentic and sustainable, so you can feel safe, emotionally aware, and equipped for lasting healing. Many of my patients feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or disconnected, and struggle with trust, especially within family relationships. If this resonates, you’re not alone. At the heart of everything I do is a commitment to meeting you where you are, as a compassionate, genuine, and trustworthy partner every step of the way. Person-centered, strengths-based, and compassionate care isn't just a framework. It's how I show up for every person I work with. That’s why you can always expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where your unique needs and goals shape each session, and where you always feel safe and heard while building emotional awareness. Drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, trauma-informed care, Mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques, we'll work to manage intense emotions, strengthen relationships, and build tools for lasting well-being. My approach is calm, collaborative, and warm, with room for authenticity and laughter, because healing feels comes more naturally when the space truly feels like your own. My path to becoming a therapist began with a desire to create positive change by helping those who feel unheard, unseen, or unable to help themselves. That belief has always been at the core of this work: everyone deserves to feel valued, understood, and supported. Experience in high-acuity and residential settings deepened that commitment, working alongside adolescents and families through their hardest moments. When you work with me, you'll find someone who can sit with you through the difficult times while bringing lightness when it's needed. Every session is designed to feel genuine, approachable, and fully in support of your growth. Outside of the therapy room, life is full and family centered. As a mom, much of my time is spent cheering on my kids across a wide range of activities. including wrestling, football, volleyball, track, basketball, boxing, and cheerleading. Giving back to the community is something that matters close to home, too. Supporting my husband's work building a youth football team that creates opportunities for young people from lower-income communities with a passion for the game is a source of real pride and purpose.

At the same time, I deeply believe that when equipped with the right tools, each individual has the potential to create a vibrant and personally meaningful life. I am passionate about empowering my clients to make the changes they wish to see in their day-to-day lives. I have been trained in a wide variety of empirically-supported treatments, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). I work with adult clients with a wide variety of presenting concerns, including anxiety or depressive disorders, PTSD, OCD, insomnia, and chronic pain. My style is warm, collaborative, and genuine. I teach clients skills to increase awareness of and create more helpful relationships with their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I also help clients learn to flexibly shift their attention at will; to build self-compassion; and to clarify personal values, solve problems, and move towards important goals. I would love to join your team. Please give our intake coordinator a call for more information, and let’s get started!
Are you an overthinker? Do your emotions interfere with your relationships? Our human brains are fascinating in what they allow us to accomplish, but sometimes they can be our own worst enemy! Sometimes overwhelming emotions and unhelpful thoughts interfere with our lives and cause significant distress. I created my practice to help people "be okay when things are not okay." This is done using a person-centered dialectical-behavior therapy (DBT) approach to help you gain insight into yourself while providing you with the tools and encouragement to thrive instead of just survive. I want you to leave each session feeling validated and more confident in your ability to cope with life on life's terms! I also specialize in treating complex PTSD and am trained in EMDR.
I love working with people facing challenges in their relationships, whether romantic or otherwise. My goal is to help you identify what you truly want, where you encounter obstacles, and to help you address any self-imposed obstacles. We'll work together to make change happen fast so that what you want is more likely to become reality. I won’t just nod along, so if you're looking for someone who doesn't skirt around the issues, you're on the right profile. I have experience working with a with a variety of concerns, including but not limited to: relationship distress, mood disorders, anxiety, impulsive behavior, Narcissistic Personality Disorder, maladaptive perfectionism, and teens at risk for personality disorders. I'm well-versed in both DBT and RO-DBT, both of which shape my approach to therapy. I have been intensively trained in Radically-Open DBT (RO-DBT), a specialized treatment for Chronic Depression, Anorexia-Nervosa, and disorders of Over-Control (OC). Our practice, PSYCHē, is a private network of therapists across multiple states. Our job is to pair our clients with great clinicians all over the country. PSYCHē also offers various Standard DBT groups and Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) skills classes online ranging from $100-$125. Groups are like a class, not therapy. New members can begin right away! Visit www.psychepllc/groups for more information about groups, meeting times, or to enroll online.
