I am a religious trauma therapist in Denver. Recovering from conservative religion can leave you questioning who you are, what you believe, and how to trust yourself. Maybe you're stuck in perfectionism, constantly thinking, “I’m not good enough,” leading you to isolate from others or hold yourself back from your goals. Maybe you have trouble making decisions because you believe you can't trust your instincts. You might not remember a time when things felt different. But you’re ready for relief: a kinder inner voice, more joy, and a deeper connection to your authentic self. You’re ready to feel confident, not because you’re perfect, but because you’re finally free to be you. As an experienced self-worth, anxiety, and trauma therapist, I believe you can untangle the messages from your past that are holding you back. You don’t have to keep making yourself small and you don’t have to do the work alone. Visit my website to schedule a free 15-minute consultation so we can discuss how I can help.

We realize that no two people are the same and as such tailor our therapy to meet the specific needs of our clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression or any other issue, we will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way. Our practice specializes in treating individuals, couples and families. We also offer group therapy both virtually and in person. If you’ve been feeling hopeless or alone lately, or struggling with a problem in your life that feels unsurmountable, group therapy could help you improve your everyday life. Group therapy helps you find a sense of community with others who are going through similar things as you while giving you access to valuable tools that can truly help you feel better. Your body holds the wisdom to heal. As a body-centered, mindfulness-based psychotherapist, I blend practices from the East and West, evidence-based interventions with spirituality, movement with introspection. I work with highly sensitive, empathic clients to help them build healthier relationships, let go of substances and patterns that no longer serve them, improve self-esteem, find freedom from anxiety and depression, and come home to their bodies. I believe in the healing power of embodiment to help my clients recover. In my work, there is always space for vulnerable moments, profound realizations, uninhibited emotions, and very often, deep belly laughs. As a fellow traveler along the path, I understand profound loss and trauma. With an extensive background in substance abuse and trauma treatment, I get that mental health challenges can take over your life. Using a holistic and tailored approach, I will work with you to treat the underlying causes of substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and other symptoms of trauma. As a body-centered psychotherapist, I take a “bottom-up” or “embodied” approach to trauma-focused modalities, including EMDR. I also offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy for additional support in treating treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, C-PTSD, and other trauma symptoms. If you want to break free from the symptoms of trauma, begin a healing journey, or simply improve your overall well being, I’d love to help you get there.
I use a holistic and intuitive counseling approach incorporating mind, body, and spirit to help clients develop ways to shine light into their lives. My practice addresses anxiety, self-worth, boundaries, relationship issues, spirituality, and for anyone adjusting to difficult changes (especially in our current pandemic). My passion is helping people to empower their lives so they can align with their own passion and purpose. I believe people have an inner guidance system that offers infinite possibilities. I provide a grounded, sacred energy during sessions that can help to connect with this wisdom. I enjoy using therapeutic techniques such as: inner child work, images, symbolism, dreamwork, energy work and expressive arts.

We are a group practice that focuses on helping people feel better in their relationships. Appointments are offered in-person at our Denver office or through Telehealth. We recognize, as a young adult, you might be feeling depressed, anxious, or stressed with all of the things you have to manage while trying to feel good about yourself in relationships. Establishing yourself as an individual in this world, separate from the places and the people you grew up with, can be hard. You can bring a lot of stuff with you. You might have the time and space to think about the hard stuff or to finally put a name to the stress and pressure you've been feeling. You want to make people happy, but you have to figure out how to feel happy yourself first. We understand this transition time in your life and how you are trying so hard to have healthy relationships, to be less worried or stressed, to feel successful, and to find happiness. Call today to hear how we can help.
A need to always look put-together and strong can be destructive and exhausting. It seems like the harder you try, the harder it gets. The pressure to appear “all good” invalidates the emotions we all experience as human beings. Living in a culture of toxic positivity only reinforces the idea that negative thoughts and feelings are somehow inherently unhealthy. In therapy, outdated notions are challenged and you will not be invalidated for feeling…anything. Many of my clients have internalized beliefs about who they should and shouldn’t be- and most of these beliefs are false. Therapy is a non-judgmental space where you can truly express yourself without fear of being judged or shamed. Many of the clients I work with identify with being anxious, perfectionists who want better relationships. I also work with adults who know or think they may be on the autism spectrum. Overall, therapy can be great tool to get a better grip on life as well as for treating a specific diagnosis.. Whatever your background, your struggles, your ambitions, we will work together. Feeling better is within reach.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years experience, I fully appreciate the importance of finding the right match with a therapist who can offer a compassionate and professional approach to navigating life's challenges. I embrace what may be very painful difficulties as opportunities for positive growth and problem solving, while holding sacred the courage and curiosity it takes to embark upon a very personal therapeutic journey. Being a student inevitably includes personal transformation and growth, not to mention stress and the need for problem solving skills! Getting support, be it brief in nature, or for longer-term emotional regulation, can be invaluable during times of such transition. I offer particular expertise in such areas as: treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, healing from past abuse/victimization (particularly sexual abuse), and EMDR Therapy, in addition to addressing life transitions, the impacts of social injustice and oppression, and overall stress management and relationship restoration.
Are you queer and struggling with body image and food? Or just feeling disconnected from your body? Are you looking for a therapist who gets it—who’s been there? I am an eating disorder therapist who is also queer. Believe it to not, the LGBTQ community is hit hardest when it comes to struggling with our relationship with our bodies. Many of us have had eating disorders, and even more of us struggle significantly with body image. As a trained somatic therapist, I hope to support you to have a better relationship with your body, and to understand the language it speaks—including how trauma may have manifested in your nervous system.
You want better relationships with your partner, your family, and most importantly, with yourself. Although you've found success in many areas of life, you're struggling to adjust to a recent life change like a move to a new place, the birth of a child, or the start or end of an important relationship. Maybe you've found yourself experiencing more stress than you're used to, you're close to burnout, or you find it really difficult to prioritize your own sense of well-being over others. If any of this sounds familiar to you, I would love to talk with you and learn more about your goals. I work with adults and couples who are motivated to know themselves in a deeper and more compassionate way, and are ready to experience real success during their time in therapy. I can help you get un-stuck and create opportunities for you to tap into your own curiosity, compassion, and creativity so that you’re able to have the life and relationships that you want. My goal is for you to experience positive change from our first session together. I have limited availability for telehealth appointments for adults and couples.
