Eleanor Malinoski is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly two decades of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. She offers counseling services for adults, with a specialized focus on trauma recovery—particularly for healthcare professionals navigating high-stress, emotionally demanding environments. Eleanor earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wofford College in 1999 and her Master of Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana in 2006. After completing three years of rigorous postgraduate supervision, she became a fully licensed clinical social worker and has since built a career that spans both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. Eleanor is EMDR-trained and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), drawing on a range of trauma-informed practices to help clients process difficult experiences, develop healthier coping strategies, and reclaim a sense of safety and well-being. In 2021, Eleanor began volunteering with the Emotional PPE Project, offering pro bono therapy to healthcare workers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, she has become a dedicated advocate for the mental health needs of healthcare professionals, continuing to speak out and support those on the front lines of care. Grounded, empathetic, and deeply committed to client care, Eleanor creates a safe and supportive space where healing can begin.

It's uncomfortable to reach out for help, to reveal our pain and personal matters to anyone, let alone a stranger. This is why my priority is creating a safe, judgment free space to build a genuine connection with my clients. In addition to developing strategies to relieve immediate distress, I apply my 15 years in mental health, from home-based to hospital crisis work, to help you identify the reasons behind your struggles and resolve the underlying causes. This provides the framework for positive growth and a deeper understanding of oneself, for lasting results. I adapt my approach to meet your individual needs and therapeutic goals. You are the expert on your life and your experiences, and my role is to provide support, help you gain insight into any self-limiting beliefs, all while gently steering you in the right direction. Everything we need for growth is already inside us; it's just a matter of finding it. I have thorough knowledge of anxiety, depression, and identifying/treating suicidal ideation, serving as clinical educator for a large crisis dept. My extensive training on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy provides a foundation for my work. I'd like to make the process of starting therapy as easy as possible and invite a conversation on how I might help you.

Is shame preventing you from fully experiencing life? Do you keep falling into unhealthy relationship patterns? Are you feeling overwhelmed or having difficulty adjusting to changes in your life? If these questions resonate with you, I am ready to walk with you along your healing journey. I utilize a variety of approaches, including EMDR, Trauma Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing and psychoeducation. I very much enjoy working with young adults and specialize in adjustment/life transitions, relationship concerns, perfectionism, adult children of alcoholics, family of origin issues, shame, trauma, and codependency. I promote self-discovery, which includes not only identifying problematic patterns and obstacles, but also exploring strengths and evidence of resiliency. In addition to my professional training, my own personal experiences have equipped me with compassion, empathy, and a desire to help others feel empowered as they pursue the life they desire.

The therapists at IPCI have a passion for working with clients to help them both cope better in the present as well as to explore, and work through, the underlying factors that fuel and perpetuate recurring problems like anxiety, depression, and relationship troubles. Many of our therapists have additional training in trauma work, including EMDR. Dr. Hanzlik is one of the few AASECT-Certified Sex Therapists in Indiana, and has trained other IPCI therapists to provide effective treatment and a specialization in helping patients work through sexual concerns. We also provide psychological evaluation to clarify diagnoses and provide recommendations for accommodations in academic settings.

Hi, I’m so glad you are here. If your life has come to a crossroad and you would like someone to walk alongside you as you navigate your journey, you have come to the right place. Feeling uncertain, worried, or hopeless can be scary and hard to cope with. Therapy provides a safe and supportive space to increase your self awareness and improve your ability to cope with stressors. My approach is client-centered, and targets balance between mind and body. The focus areas of my practice are women’s issues, bicultural identity, anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorder. I have several years of experience working in the field in inpatient and outpatient community mental health settings. I care about an array of social justice issues, most prominently disrupting racial oppression and promoting equity. I consider myself an ally to people who identify as LGBTQ+. I am deeply passionate about women's issues and navigating identity. I am so glad you are taking a moment to prioritize your well-being, and look forward to working with you!
