I am a client-centered psychologist who works with adults and adolescents (13+). I invite clients to be collaborators in finding and exploring what will help them achieve growth. I provide a warm, inclusive, and nonjudgmental environment and believe a strong client-therapist relationship is essential for growth and change. Hi, I'm Elizabeth and I'm so glad you're here! Therapy doesn't have to be stiff or serious all the time. In fact, I believe feeling comfortable enough to be your full, unfiltered self– including laughing, swearing, crying, or just sitting quietly– is where the real work happens. I use humor, compassion, & a deep respect for your lived experience to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are. A big part of my work is helping folks build a better relationship with their bodies- whether you're fat, thin, in between, transitioning, aging, disabled, or just feeling disconnected from yourself. I work with people of all ages! I am trained in EMDR and also pull from modalities like CBT, DBT, and IFS. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; you’re not a checklist, you're a complex, layered person. I approach body image through the lens of fat acceptance and body liberation. Together we can explore what it means to live in your body without shame, pressure, or apology. Therapy with me is collaborative, affirming, and shaped by your needs, goals, and pace. As a queer person myself, I understand the importance of feeling seen, safe, & understood. If you're looking for a therapist who can hold the hard stuff, laugh with you through the weird stuff, and support you in building a life that actually feels like yours- let’s talk!
I am a bilingual, first-generation therapist. I bring a culturally responsive and compassionate approach in working with adults, children and families. I understand the challenges of navigating multiple identities, languages, and expectations, therefore strive to create a safe, affirming space where both clients, children and caregivers feel seen and supported. My practice is rooted in trauma-informed care, along with evidence-based modalities like CBT, play therapy and mindfulness. YOU are the expert of your own life. Our role is to provide a judgement free space to help you explore and build skills to meet your goals.

A therapist is to honor and respect your individuality while creating a calm and safe space for you to express yourself openly and freely with no judgment. Your experience is unique, and I will treat it as such while intently listening to your story. You are the driver and expert of your own experiences, and the goal is to collaboratively approach your story with intentionality, sort through your challenges, explore strategies that best serve you, and prioritize your well-being.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is passionate about working with and supporting young adults! I work with individuals located in MA and CT, via Telehealth. Areas of focus include anxiety, school stress, self-esteem, executive functioning challenges, identity/career exploration, life transitions and more. My work is LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent affirming. I use a client-led approach, which allows individuals to bring to the table their own wants and needs for their sessions. I also provide individualized support, whether a client is looking to build skills to improve day-to-day wellness, or simply have a non-judgmental listener. I strive to create a warm environment where clients feel seen and heard, and feel safe to be themselves. I value authenticity, compassion, and humor in providing support through difficult times and successes. We will collaborate to recognize your strengths and build new skills in working towards your goals. I am excited to get to know you and support you!
Life's challenges can leave us feeling off-balance. As a therapist, I offer a warm, supportive space where you can slow down, reflect and begin to reconnect with yourself as you navigate anxiety, burnout and life transitions. I work closely with individuals from early to late adulthood. I often work with first-generation high achievers who carry strong internal pressure to succeed, manage high expectations and navigate what it means to be “the first” in their family or community. These experiences can bring pride but also anxiety, perfectionism, burnout and a sense of disconnection or uncertainty about where you’re headed. Many of the clients I work with are navigating anxiety, career uncertainty, relationship challenges or major life transitions, including midlife and aging-related changes such as shifting roles, identity questions and reassessing priorities over time. My approach is collaborative, transparent and grounded in trauma-informed and evidence-based practices. I draw from CBT, mindfulness and insight-oriented frameworks always tailoring therapy to your unique experiences and goals. I aim to help you develop practical strategies while also deepening your self-understanding so that change feels meaningful and sustainable. At Equilibria Counseling, we strive to create a space where you can show up as you are.
I help clients to learn, grow, and resolve their problems -- whether big or small, simple or complicated. Those problems may include: self-defeating habits, hurtful relationship patterns, overwhelming anxiety, or debilitating depression. Milton Erickson is the psychiatrist, who revolutionized approaches to both psychotherapy and hypnosis. I practice in his tradition. That means: I don't just listen. I also reframe problems you might think unsolvable, change perspectives that stymie you, awaken dormant strengths, and teach lessons and skills you're missing. I am presently providing teletherapy services only to new clients. Although I do provide insight-oriented therapy to clients, who want better to understand themselves, most of my work is short term with clients, who merely want to solve their problems as quickly as possible.

I take time to listen carefully, understand your story, and develop a treatment plan that feels realistic and supportive for your life. My goal is to help you feel more stable, supported, and able to move through your daily life with greater ease. I welcome collaboration with therapists and other healthcare providers to ensure thoughtful, comprehensive care. The journey towards self-discovery is a valuable and worthwhile endeavor, deserving of the effort required to connect with one's authentic self. I believe in the inherent capacity for individuals to thrive and undergo meaningful personal growth. Throughout our work together we will create an environment where vulnerability is embraced, challenging conversations occur, and discomfort is acknowledged as a catalyst for growth and change, as we explore and unravel learned patterns that may no longer serve you. My therapeutic approach is characterized by flexibility, adapting to your unique needs and preferences. I highly value your feedback, ensuring that our collaboration is a dynamic and responsive process. Grounded in an intersectional understanding of trauma, neurodiversity, and systemic oppression, I aim not only to delve into your internal world but also to consider the impact of external factors on your well-being. Therapy with me involves taking the time to connect with your joys, struggles, history, and hopes, facilitating a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of yourself. Focusing on complex trauma and neurodiversity, I have a profound appreciation for the richness and complexity of people's stories. I am committed to supporting your growth and change while acknowledging and welcoming all facets of your identity. Furthermore, I am dedicated to my own ongoing learning on social justice topics and anti-racism, recognizing the importance of understanding my own identities (both privileged and marginalized) to create an inclusive and empathic therapeutic environment. I believe that my work as a therapist is not just about individual growth but empowering my clients to recognize and dismantle the damaging and broken systems in their lives. As the therapeutic relationship is central to our work and not every therapist is going to be the best fit for you, I encourage you to take advantage of my 15 minute free consultation. This way we can discuss what you are looking for from therapy and I can answer any questions you might have about starting therapy with me. I look forward to hearing from you!
I have been working with college and graduate students all of my professional career, and am excited and comfortable helping students navigate their social, emotional, psychological and professional challenges. I am an open therapist who believes that the therapeutic process is a collaboration between therapist and patient/client. Those with whom I have worked have described me as warm, empathic and woke.
Starting college can be an exciting time, opening so many new doors in terms of defining one’s identity and sense of purpose in life, as well as establishing a network of meaningful friendships. It however also involves letting go of one’s reliance on family and friends and engaging many new options which can be quite overwhelming. So many students start to experience anxiety or depression and begin to struggle with relationship or career concerns. I really enjoy working with college students during this complicated but promising period of their life, and helping them navigate the pitfalls and create an enriching experience for themselves. I have 20 years of experience and take an insight oriented approach to my work. I try to help people gain clarity about themselves and determine what is of real value to them so they can make better decisions and create a healthy and meaningful life experience for themselves.
