I view therapy not only as a means of reducing emotional distress but also as an approach to personal growth. However, I believe that therapy should not be a way of life and I therefore support clients in developing concrete skills, with emphasis on working with emotions: promoting a better understanding of emotions and emotion regulation. I view therapy as a collaborative process of exploration. I bring to this process an attitude of compassionate curiosity and non-judgment. I also draw on my own bi-cultural experience - I was born and raised in Prague, Czech Republic. I practice emotion-focused therapy, which emphasizes the positive, adaptive roles of emotions. Sometimes, however, due to stress, trauma or adverse life events, emotions can become a source of distress. Through empathic, collaborative exploration I help my clients identify their authentic emotional needs and develop strategies for managing and regulating distressing emotions. If you are located in Western Mass (Pioneer Valley) I also offer walking therapy and animal assisted therapy. Therapy is my 2nd career. My PhD is in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) and my therapeutic work is informed by 25+ years of research in AI and cognitive & affective science. I am thus very familiar with academic environments and draw on this knowledge when working with students, both undergraduate and graduate.

I approach my work through a holistic, integrative, and progressive mindset, and treat the whole person- mind, body, and spirit. I am offering Teletherapy Services only. Hello and welcome. I view therapy as an active and collaborative process of working toward your goals together. Therapy is not a one size fits all treatment. It should built around your needs. My number one priority is to provide you with the tools to get back on a path that feels genuine and life affirming. I want to help you heal, break free from old habits, develop healthy coping skills, and find new ways to respond to life's challenging situations. Whether you are experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD or have experienced traumatic events, the decision to seek help is a sign of great strength. Brainspotting is a method to help heal clients who have suffered from trauma. It is a neurophysiological treatment that provides psychological, emotional and physical benefits. It appears that Brainspotting helps to harness the brains own ability to heal itself and the body from stored trauma. Biolateral sound can be used to help enhance the healing process. Brainspotting can also be used to work on sports and performance blocks, as well as concussions. My treatment approach is holistic, integrative, and personalized to your unique circumstances. I use a combination of Brainspotting, Emotional Freedom Techniques (aka tapping), talk therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness techniques are also used to help people shift their personal narrative and develop skills to navigate life's challenges. I offer vibrational sound healing which shifts and clears energy from the body allowing your body to move back into harmony and vibrant health. This service is offered to enhance your healing journey and is not covered by insurance.

I employ a strength based, client centered, perspective to help clients realize their potential and engage clients in finding the answers to reach their goals within themselves.
