My work is relationally based, and I additionally integrate the approaches of Somatic Experiencing (SE) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which are both mind/body modalities. These approaches have been transformational for myself and many clients I have witnessed because they offer an orientation of radical openness and compassionate inquiry about all parts of your experience.
I am a licensed clinical social worker, working in the field since 2008 when I graduate from Boston College with a master’s degree in Social Work. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focus CBT, and Motivational Interviewing. I have a flexible personality, trying my best to put myself in your shoes and start where you are at. I have experience working with a wide range of diagnoses, including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, ADHD, learning disabilities, domestic violence, trauma, bipolar, schizophrenia and working with those affected by someone else’s drug addiction. I’m LGBTQ+ allied. I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Anthem, Atena, Always, United Health Care, United Behavioral Health Care, Harvard Pilgrim and Mass General Brigham Women. As a licensed social worker, I specialize in helping individuals, both adolescents and adults, navigate the challenges of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders. I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to empower my clients to manage their symptoms, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and to feel more comfortable with the inevitable discomfort and uncertainty that humans face daily. I offer a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can openly explore their struggles. I believe in a holistic approach that addresses not just symptoms, but the whole person. I also value open communication, so I encourage feedback throughout our work together to ensure we are on the right path. I am passionate about this work because I truly believe that with the right tools and support, everyone has the ability to live a value-based life. I love seeing my clients develop a better understanding of their strengths and learn to live with uncertainty. It is amazing to me how much bigger the world can seem when we are not constrained by our fears.

I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to process memories, thoughts and feelings. There are long, lost fears and often past traumas at play in all of us. Some surface, wreaking havoc with our lives. They can appear as grief, depression, anxiety or crisis. Others remain dormant and can surface at all the wrong times. You may appear successful, but despite your accomplishments, you are not happy or it seems like others are happier than you. Your personal relationships are not satisfying in the way you expect. Why is happiness still elusive? We can dislodge what is blocking your best life and guide you to a healthier self. We will guide you to new understandings, new behaviors and new ways of being that will lead you to a happier self. You can reduce the anxiety and depression. You can disarm the trauma and grief that has made the days so uncomfortable. I provide a safe, empathetic environment for change. Call to book an appointment or consultation.

Please email me to schedule a consultation appointment. I am a licensed mental health counselor in MA and RI. My approach to therapy is unique, in that I can help you achieve answers faster to what has been blocking you, build the life you desire, and redefine yourself using a holistic approach. We will do this together by finding root causes to your symptoms using a comprehensive assessment questionnaire, attachment theory, and evidence-based mind-body approaches; that include meditation and somatic practices. I help my clients transform their lives, reach their goals, and achieve lasting results by providing high quality care. My intent is to address the challenges you are struggling with in connection to your symptoms and help bring awareness on how these symptoms are connected to limiting beliefs, subconscious programming, and/or trauma; that created a life that no longer aligns with who you are today and where you want to be. I value treating the whole-person. As we walk through this journey together, my hope for you, is to find fulfillment within yourself, healthier relationships, healing, and post-traumatic growth. I am accepting new clients at this time and have helped hundreds of people achieve the life they seek throughout sixteen years of work experience in the mental health profession. <script src="https://thrivingcampus.com/verified.js?pid=34863"></script>
