I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey. My style includes creating a warm space for my clients to work through difficult issues. I think it's okay to laugh and/or cry when you're managing stress and mental health needs. You can expect a responsive experience where you can explore ways to improve your quality of life. When appropriate, I will also provide feedback and challenge clients to try on new ways of approaching their lives.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or like you’re just going through the motions? College life brings unique challenges—academic pressure, transitions, relationships, anxiety, and personal struggles can all make it hard to stay grounded. If you're facing emotional overwhelm, burnout, or uncertainty about your next steps, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I’m Adi, a licensed therapist with over 15 years of clinical experience, including extensive work with college students. I understand the specific pressures of student life and offer a warm, collaborative, and creative approach to therapy. I provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your emotions, gain clarity, and take meaningful steps toward healing. In our work together, we’ll focus on: Collaboration and Creativity: Tailored sessions to help you navigate both academic and personal challenges. Emotional Balance: Building resilience to manage stress, anxiety, and pressure. Self-Compassion and Growth: Developing confidence and practical coping skills for both success and well-being. A Non-Judgmental Space: A welcoming environment where you feel seen, heard, and supported. If you're ready to take the first step toward feeling more balanced and confident, I invite you to a free 15-minute phone consultation. It’s a chance for us to connect, explore your needs, and see if we’re a good fit. WIth over 25 years of experience as a Clinical Social Worker, I have enjoyed working with young adults as they navigate many of life’s transitions. Listening to the stories of many students as they begin college or new chapters, I am aware of the “noise” that often contributes to self doubt and confusion. I specialize in navigating these challenges that often come with life transitions: the excitement as well as the uncertainty, anxiety, sadness and fears. I love to partner with college students to help reframe some of the thinking that leads to feeling stuck and feeling anxious. I support clients to trust and grow their inner resources and resilience while navigating the challenges as they face and transition to new life phases. Through a blend of empathy, active listening and evidence based techniques, I work to create a supportive space where clients can feel heard and they can safely explore their identities and feelings, manage stressors and develop coping strategies to thrive in a world that often feels unsettled.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that creativity is a powerful tool for self-expression and healing. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their emotions, break through barriers, and tap into their inner strength. Every person is unique, and my goal is to tailor my therapeutic techniques to meet the specific needs and preferences of each client. Expressive art therapy provides an alternative form of communication, particularly beneficial when traditional verbal expression may feel limiting. Artistic expression allows for the articulation of emotions, experiences, and narratives that may be challenging to express through words alone. The focus is on the process of creation rather than the end result, allowing for a more profound and authentic exploration of emotions.

At times, life events can seem to control the way we feel, creating feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. Other times, you may struggle with feeling unmotivated or purposeless without any specific cause. I believe psychotherapy empowers people by understanding specific struggles while actively developing skills to create change. A key part of our work will be identifying the things that matter to you and finding ways that therapy can bring you closer to a life that is more connected with your values. I have expertise in trauma and stress, substance use, grief, and motivational issues. I have extensive experience working with people from diverse backgrounds as well as treating military service members, veterans, and their loved ones. I thoroughly enjoy the collaborative process of determining what interventions will best fit your needs and look forward to understanding your treatment goals.

I work with adults who primarily struggle with memory and concentration problems related to ADHD, depression/anxiety, traumatic brain injury etc. in my practice in Boston. I have a structured, problem-solving approach to treatment that focuses on organization and practical skills to manage symptoms. However, each person I work with is different and therefore each treatment plan is tailored to them and their needs. For ADHD in particular, a combination of medications and therapy is the most effective in treating ADHD. Your sessions with me: 1. During your first session, I just want to get to know you better. From this initial session, I can provide you feedback about what is the primary cause of some of your attention/memory difficulties that impact your day to day abilities. 2. One focus would be to implement structure, and routine. I can help provide this external structure by helping you utilize a planner to schedule ahead and manage time, make realistic and reasonable goals to maximize success, and organize aspects of your life. I will also teach you practical memory strategies and ways you can easily retain information. 3. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which involves changing negative thinking patterns and behaviors is also found to be effective in treating ADHD. CBT helps “slow down” your thinking so you can reflect on what prevents you from making those deadlines, reduce impulsive behaviors, and learn problem solving skills that can make a difference in work, school, and or personal relationships. 4. Mindfulness exercises involve paying attention to your thoughts, feelings, and physiological sensations so you can be present in the moment. With practice, you can train you brain to sustain attention.

I create a safe and affirming space for individuals and couples from all walks of life, including the LGBTQ+ community. Living far from home, navigating a new culture, and missing your loved ones can leave you feeling isolated and overwhelmed. It affects your well-being and relationships. If you're seeking a path towards healing and growth, I'm here to support you. Let's connect – schedule a free 15-minute consultation today.
