Therapists for college students near Harvard University
I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to process memories, thoughts and feelings. There are long, lost fears and often past traumas at play in all of us. Some surface, wreaking havoc with our lives. They can appear as grief, depression, anxiety or crisis. Others remain dormant and can surface at all the wrong times. You may appear successful, but despite your accomplishments, you are not happy or it seems like others are happier than you. Your personal relationships are not satisfying in the way you expect. Why is happiness still elusive? We can dislodge what is blocking your best life and guide you to a healthier self. We will guide you to new understandings, new behaviors and new ways of being that will lead you to a happier self. You can reduce the anxiety and depression. You can disarm the trauma and grief that has made the days so uncomfortable. I provide a safe, empathetic environment for change. Call to book an appointment or consultation.
My practice provides a safe and caring space where meaningful change is possible. The solution-focused services are tailored to meet the individual needs of my clients. I draw from a variety of theoretical orientations and am skilled at using cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and relational treatment approaches.

I work with adults throughout the life span who are processing life transitions, chronic illness, grief and loss, relational conflicts, trauma, and identity development. My approach seeks to understand together the "why?" behind symptoms and behaviors so you can feel less stuck and be able to show up in life the way you want to.
My name is Priscilla, and I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I enjoy working with students who are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what’s going on beneath the surface. Many of the students I see struggle with anxiety, depression, burnout, ADHD, or are exploring whether they may be autistic. You might overthink, procrastinate, feel constantly behind, experience sensory overload, or wonder why things seem harder than they should. My approach is collaborative and practical. We focus on understanding how your brain works and creating a plan that fits your life. That may include medication when appropriate, but we also talk about sleep, nutrition, vitamins, and other non-medication strategies that support your mental health as a whole.
Good therapy happens when you feel respected and understood. Transformation comes through honest dialogue with your therapist. My style is collaborative and interactive. I listen, I talk, we interpret and untangle; together we identify goals, overcome obstacles, and make positive change. Guided by the principles of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy - by the belief that our pasts shape our values and feelings, and impact our relationships - I provide individualized talk therapy for life transitions and stressors including Trauma, Loss, and Relationship and Existential Issues across the lifespan. Hi! My name is Maya Rogers-Bursen, and I am a licensed mental health counselor and art therapist. I was adopted from India when I was six months old and my narrative has shaped the work I love doing with adoptees, and families in the adoption constellation. I am a transracial adoptee with a private practice focused in supporting those navigate the ups and downs of the adoption journey. I named my practice Chandani Post Adoption Counseling - Chandani is my birth name. It means moonlight in Hindi, a place I often look towards when I think about birth family (feel free to read more of my story on my website – Chandanicounseling.com) Adoption trauma refers to loss. Loss of birth family/culture, identity/connection. Themes that may come up in our work look similar to loss, grief, birth/adoptive family, communication, identity development, shame, guilt, sense of belonging, transracial adoption, race/culture, international adoption, family dynamics, anxiety, worry, fear, relationships. It’s my goal to hold space for the everyday moments while looking at things through an adoption lens. If you are looking to learn more about yourself in relation to adoption, I welcome the opportunity to be in conversation together! * If you are not an adoptee but my profile sparks interest, please reach out and we can decide together if it feels like a good fit!

My patients describe me as warm, direct and engaged. Finding a provider you're comfortable with can be an overwhelming process. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation and typically recommend spending a few sessions to see if we work well together.
I believe that how we interact with others in the present often grew out of lessons learned earlier in life. Sometimes, people use strategies to cope with situations that once made sense but are no longer effective or useful. I also believe that everyone has strengths that can help guide decisions and behaviors in the present. I believe in a collaborative approach to therapy, where we become travelers on your journey; we look at concerns, explore their origins and feelings that arise, and discuss how to view and handle situations here and now. I blend developmental and clinical approaches to help individuals understand difficulties within the context of typical stages of life. Treatment is geared to individual needs, and I draw on a variety of theoretical orientations (e.g., Psychodynamic, CBT, and Humanistic therapies). I work with individuals from a wide range of ethnic, cultural, and economic backgrounds, and I have a special interest in gender identity and sexual orientation (LGBTQIA+). I have helped clients with concerns including, among several others, depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, and life transitions. Please visit my website for more information: www.everbreezepsych.com

You are NOT alone! Navigating college is hard alone. Trying to do it during a pandemic has been just brutal! I have been working in a college counseling center for the past 14 years, and continue to do so. I recognize that not all students have access to services at their college and hope that I might be able to support those students by filling in the gap. With more than 20 years of working with adolescents, young adults, and adults, I am here to support those ready to take the next steps in prioritizing their mental health. With kindness, compassion, humor and focus, my goal is to provide guidance, perspective and insight in focusing on achievable steps to identify and strengthen your own skills to help you navigate any of the challenges or goals you are ready to tackle. The same way in which we will turn to others for information and encouragement when addressing physical pain or recovery from injury, my goal is to provide an environment that is holistic, collaborative and forward focused to help you achieve the healthy balance, life, relationships, etc. that you deserve! Teletherapy helps you achieve noteworthy milestones and saves time, money, and energy over traditional in-person therapy.
