Hello! I am glad you are here. I have been practicing since 2013 and have enjoyed working with a variety of folks over the years. I specialize in helping folks that have experienced trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, or are struggling with life transitions. I am passionate about helping other people improve their health and have dedicated my nursing career toward continually achieving this goal. I am honored to have been a registered nurse for 17 years, with most of that time spent in a major metropolitan hospital responding to medical emergencies as part of the facility’s Rapid Response Team. After gaining a wealth of experience performing rapid assessments and thus improving the physiological and mental health needs of patients in crisis, it made sense for me to evolve and find a niche that focused solely on psychiatric-mental health nursing. I approach new clients with the belief that they should be encouraged to speak freely, which is a fundamentally important step towards establishing clear goals and objectives. Furthermore, I would like my clients to feel comfortable being an active participant and engaged in improving their mental well-being. The goal of our time together is quite simply to help you start to feel better and improve the quality of your life. I would like you to feel comfortable enough to share the issues that are most challenging and burdensome so that we may work towards addressing them head on. Our initial encounter will include learning your history, how you’ve been feeling, any past successes and/or failures with medications, and then collaborating towards a plan to achieving the goal of feeling better and improving your mental health.
As a Dialectical Behavior Therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can’t change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will develop skills to manage your emotional dysregulation that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. If you’re looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you’re just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

Figuring out identity, establishing meaningful relationships, and navigating through changing independent roles while on the quest for financial stability, can be an overwhelming mix of demands. Add spiritual and/or cultural expectations to the blend and you might just feel like quitting before you even start! It’s a wonder why anxiety, depression and other forms of addictive “coping” exist. Need some help addressing these symptoms while managing life’s demands? Say less.

You may be the one who keeps it together for everyone else, always striving, always overanalyzing. But inside, you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or not quite “enough.” Whether you’re navigating anxiety, struggling in your relationships, or feeling stuck in cycles of self-doubt, therapy can offer a space to breathe, reflect, and rebuild. I help teens and adults understand their inner world and reconnect with themselves. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in real conversation. I’ll meet you where you are, and together we’ll explore what’s keeping you stuck and how to move forward. I integrate tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based therapy, and experiential therapy. Therapy with me isn’t about perfection, it’s about creating a space where you can be honest and supported without judgment. You’ll gain insight, learn how to manage your emotions with more confidence, and develop more secure relationships. If you're feeling unsure where to start, that’s okay. You don’t have to have it all figured out before reaching out.
