Are you in the midst of a major life transition, like a breakup or family crisis, and feel confused about how to move forward? Do you struggle with relationship issues like how to communicate better with a loved one, have trouble navigating conflicts, or have a desire to have more joy-filled relationships? Not only do I have book knowledge about these issues, I have lived many of them, just like you. I believe that we all need a little coaching and encouragement at times. I have a direct, compassionate and solution focused style and have 30 years experience in the field. I work with individuals and couples and specialize in relationship issues. I love working with people in life transition. I am a certified Relational Life Therapist, with additional training using Gottman, the Couples Institute and also Emotion Focused Therapy materials. I use a variety of resources to custom fit my approach to my clients' needs.
Many of the students I work best with are navigating big transitions—adjusting to college or grad school, balancing academics with athletics, managing relationships, or figuring out what comes next. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or unsure of how to move forward. Some students come to me struggling with stress, burnout, or motivation, while others are working through challenges like past trauma, substance use, or relationship patterns that no longer serve them. I have a particular interest in supporting student-athletes and individuals dealing with performance pressure, identity, and the unique demands of competitive environments. Many of the people I work with feel stuck in old patterns and want to create meaningful, lasting change. In our work together, I focus on creating a space where you can be open, honest, and fully yourself without judgment. Therapy with me is collaborative—we’ll work as a team to better understand what’s going on and develop practical tools that fit your life. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and equipped to handle challenges now and in the future.
I am here to remind you that you are already whole. My intention is to walk with you on your healing path and co-create a sacred space where we can tend to your body, mind, and spirit. My approach is heart-centered, non-pathologizing, and grounded in a humanistic lens. I value what evidence-based practices offer us, and hold reverence for the wisdom traditions, somatic knowing, and transpersonal experiences that live outside those frameworks. I also recognize that Western psychology is rooted in colonialism, and I am committed to an approach that honors lineages of healing that the dominant system has excluded. I weave in mindfulness, somatics, parts work, expressive arts, and nature therapy. I am certified in Somatic and Attachment Focused EMDR, and have extensive experience supporting those healing from religious and spiritual trauma. I especially enjoy working with the queer community and Highly Sensitive People (HSP), both of which are part of the path I walk. As a solo practice, I do not have a team to provide 24/7 crisis support. Because of this, my practice is a good fit for those who feel steady enough to manage their safety between our weekly sessions. I offer in-person sessions in South Eugene Mon/Tue/Wed and online sessions Thursdays. When you reach out, please let me know your insurance(s) and schedule preferences.

Trauma recovery involves the process of healing both the body and mind from overwhelming experiences by reconnecting with oneself in an integrated way. It includes developing interoception—the ability to sense and interpret internal bodily cues—which helps individuals notice and respond to their emotional and physical states with greater awareness and regulation. Recovery also involves working with both implicit memories (unconscious, body-held responses like tension or startle reflexes) and explicit memories (conscious, narrative recollections of events). Through therapeutic approaches that access these memory systems, individuals begin to make sense of their experiences, reduce reactivity, and create new, safer associations, allowing for a more grounded and empowered sense of self.

I specialize in effective therapy for adults who are suffering from anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and assertiveness issues. I enjoy working with individuals in the LGBTQ+ community and other minority populations. I have seven years of experience in working with college and university students. This has sparked my interest in working on topics such as life transition, career exploration, and examinations of one's identities. Many clients have expressed appreciation for my authenticity, warmth, and caring nature. I tend to integrate somatic and cognitive/behavioral modalities.
My role is to support clients to achieve goals, whether it be for self-exploration, empowerment, navigating the challenges of a life transition or wanting to enhance or maintain the quality of a relationship. I specialize in trauma therapy, with extensive experience supporting survivors of sexual violence and other traumatic experiences. If you’ve been through something overwhelming, it can feel like a fog has settled over you, affecting every part of your life. You might find yourself overthinking, being on edge, shutting down, or feeling numb, even when you want to feel present and connected. Many people I work with feel stuck in this space and are unsure how to move forward. Together, we’ll work to understand and process your emotions, thoughts, and past experiences so they no longer hold the same power over you. I use EMDR and other approaches to help you address what’s at the core of your symptoms. Feeling safe and understood is essential to this work. We’ll move at a pace that’s manageable for you, creating a space where you can show up as you are without pressure or judgment. While this is a vulnerable process, it’s also what allows for deep, lasting healing. Therapy can help you relate to yourself with more clarity and compassion, develop new patterns, and move toward the life you want to live. If you’re ready to feel more grounded, connected, and fully yourself—and to feel more in control of your life—I invite you to reach out. We’ll start with a conversation and see if working together feels like a good fit.
