I am a Harvard-trained, Harvard-affiliated, board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. I strongly believe that the best psychiatric care is centered on the whole person, not just on a diagnosis or a specific medication. I provide weekly therapy and work with patients to determine if medications can be of help. I do not believe that everyone needs a medication, but they can be useful in treating particular psychiatric symptoms; I will work with you in order to find the best treatment modality that meets your goals and needs. My training in psychotherapy includes psychodynamic psychotherapy, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Exposure/Response Prevention (Ex/RP) and Prolonged Exposure (PE). I provide psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. In order to offer comprehensive treatment, I do not accept insurance in my private practice. I am currently conducting sessions via telemedicine only. Please feel free to send me an email to set up a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation so I can answer any questions and see if I can be of help.

Hi, I’m Shayna T. Sanders, LMFT , the owner of Courage to Heal Counseling Services. Life can feel overwhelming at times—whether you're navigating school, work, relationships, family responsibilities, or personal challenges. You don’t have to go through it alone. With over 20 years of experience, I have supported individuals through a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, and life transitions. For the past 14 years in private practice, I’ve helped individuals build coping skills, gain clarity, and feel more confident and balanced in their everyday lives. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment or pressure. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply need someone to talk to, we can work together to help you feel more grounded, understood, and supported.
My practice supports students coping with the many challenges of adjustment to college life. I aim to help students achieve their academic/professional and social goals, while remaining true to their identities and interests. Through therapy, I help my clients understand that achievement does not mean sacrificing who you are. Together we focus on clarifying personal goals, identity development, and adjustment to new freedoms and environments. I have special interest in working with first generation, racially/ethnically diverse, LGBTQ+, and immigrant students.
Hello! And welcome! I'm so glad you're here. My particular interest is helping individuals strengthen their connections. I think the most important things in our lives are our relationships. But let’s face it, we’re imperfect humans, and staying connected takes intention and effort. I help clients build fulfilling relationships by improving communication, deepening emotional connection, navigating conflict, and staying connected through difficult moments. This includes learning to be vulnerable, taking accountability when we get it wrong, and repairing the hurts and moments of disconnection that inevitably happen in relationships. I provide a safe and nonjudgmental space for clients to share their stories while helping to empower them to make changes, create meaning, and discover ways to enjoy life. I am welcoming and affirming of diversity including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender, political stance, body size, age, and ability.

Hi, I’m Rich a fantasy nerd, adrenaline junky, and gamer. i am also an experienced counselor who offers a grounded, experiential approach to therapy and coaching. I have extensive experience working with young adults through life transitions, identity formation, confidence building, and anxiety. My time in the outdoor industry teaching snowboarding, climbing, and backpacking has shown me that people are capable of a lot more then they know. My goal is to share these lessons with you and help you become the person you want to be. Therapy is weird, vulnerable, and a little awkward to start. Reaching out is the first step to that and one that I try to make easier by just connecting as a fellow human and not a professional robot. Thanks for reading and hope to talk to you soon.
