As an athlete, you know that performance is as much about your internal state as it is about your training and skill. I help college athletes master the mental side of their sport by treating anxiety at its physiological roots. Using a combination of EMDR to clear performance blocks and in-depth nervous system education, we’ll move beyond the "grind" to build genuine resilience and confidence. Whether you are stepping onto the field or approaching the bar, my goal is to ensure your body and mind are synced, helping you transition from being overwhelmed by pressure to being fueled by it.
We specialize in the treatment of Trauma/PTSD, alcohol/drug problems and co-occuring disorders. We also use evidence-based treatment to address anxiety, fears and phobias and other mental health problems.

With over 8 years of experience in the mental health field, I value the person you are and the person you want to be. I believe you have the ability and right to get out of life all that you want. I think that therapy doesn’t have to be complicated. As a client you can expect to highlight your strengths, speak to your individual experience in a non-judgmental environment, receive unconditional support from someone you trust, and learn new ways to lessen your pain. I specialize in self-esteem and compassion, healthy relationships, kink and poly-friendly, diet culture recovery / Health At Every Size, and spirituality. Besides these topics, I also have extensive experience in a variety of other life issues. Contact me to discuss this more; I would like to help you through your personal challenges. Making the choice to start therapy is a deeply personal one; I wholeheartedly believe in each individual’s right to choose who they bring on their journey of healing and fulfillment. I hope that I can be your guide through that process.

I've dedicated my life to understanding and caring for the mind. Childhood curiosity drew me to study at Cornell University, which ranged from the philosophy of mind to the neurobiology of behavior. After studying neuroscience at the University of Pennsylvania, I attended medical school. Here, I fell in love with psychiatry because I was fascinated with patients' stories and their unique ways of enduring them. I sought my graduate medical education at the Western Psychiatric Hospital of UPMC, one of the nation's largest and most renowned university-affiliated psychiatric hospitals. I specialize in integrating evidence-based (e.g., medication) and patient-centered (e.g., hypnosis) therapies. My prescribing is evidence-based and enhanced by patient-centered problem-solving that utilizes your existing attributes while evoking natural learning and adaptation processes. I consider a person's symptoms in the context of understanding them as individuals, considering their development, personality, and life narrative.
I am a licensed professional counselor. I have over 13 years of experience working in the social work and counseling field. My background includes working with social service agencies through foster care and adoption; working in the school setting as well as homes of families; collaborative efforts with community resources; 13 years of ongoing training and education to include LPC. My experience is focused on anxiety and depression management with CBT modalities as well as women issues. Other experience includes parenting engagement, play therapy, mindfulness, and talk therapy. I have experience and will work with all age groups. When we change our thoughts we can change our responses and that can make all the difference with the outcome.
Hi I’m James (they/them). I am currently accepting sliding-scale clients at $10-$100 depending on what you can afford. I am doing in-person work, or virtual (in PA). I am available for short-term therapy (through April), with a focus on somatic experiencing: a type of therapy can support you to build capacity to show up in the world and in your body the way you want to. Somatic experiencing (SE) explores ways our bodies hold stress, overwhelm, and trauma patterns. By bringing awareness to these patterns and learning new tools, you can shift the patterns held in your body that are no longer serving you. Somatic experiencing is geared towards resolving trauma held in the body. It can be used to address specific events/trauma, ongoing stressors, or to build resilience in a more general way. If you aren’t interested in somatic therapy and would prefer someone to talk and process with, I’m also down for that. I draw upon my background in harm reduction, clinical herbalism, and personal experiences with physical and mental health struggles. My practice focuses on supporting queer and trans communities. I’m currently working towards a masters degree in social work from Smith College.
I specialize in providing individual therapy to adults experiencing OCD and/or eating disorders. I can also provide support for other mental health issues, including: depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, phobias, trauma, mood disorders, and substance misuse. I also help clients navigate life's common problems, including relationship issues, work stress, identity development, and grief. I periodically offer support groups for OCD and eating disorders. I will be seeing clients in person in Pittsburgh starting in August 2023. I can see clients in Massachusetts via telehealth but I am not accepting any telehealth clients at this time.
Hi! I’m Camryn, a dedicated clinical mental health counselor with a passion for holistic, trauma-informed care. I aim to create a safe, supportive space for the “misfits”—individuals who are often labeled “too sensitive,” experience intense emotions, or struggle with a sense of belonging. I enjoy working with individuals on issues including self-esteem, stress management, life transitions, grief, identity exploration, emerging adulthood, and complex trauma. I also enjoy working with artists and athletes. As a certified yoga instructor, I prioritize the mind-body connection and respect the body’s intuitive wisdom. My colleagues often describe me as exceptionally warm and welcoming. I am currently accepting new clients and am humbled and honored to walk beside you in your journey to healing
Through over 20 years of practice I have found that people usually seek therapy because they are experiencing something that is too difficult to bear without additional help and support. Life can seem unjust when bad things happen to good people, or when best efforts are not leading to desired outcomes. These challenges are opportunities for renewal and growth. Especially during a time of crisis or transition, the ability to safely connect and openly share thoughts and feelings, while receiving genuine emotional support, clarifying insights, and effective tools for coping can be truly life changing. This is the gift of therapy. I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorders (such as OCD, tic disorders, hair pulling, skin picking and hoarding). I use evidence-based treatment models (ERP, HRT, CBT and EMDR). Research tells us that the therapeutic relationship is a critical factor in determining outcomes, so finding a therapist who is right for you is key. Call for a free 15 minute phone consultation so that you can interview me and decide if I'm a good fit.
I am experienced in working with individuals seeking treatment for mood disorders, codependency, substance use disorders, and other life challenges. I have also had success in working with the supporters and caregivers of those in treatment or recovery. I offer virtual therapy sessions for individuals living in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. I specialize in addiction recovery, eating disorder recovery, and mood disorders. I focus on developing and sustaining connections with my clients as we walk the path of healing together toward a full return to living. I'm looking forward to connecting with you and joining in your journey.
