Same or next week availability! Welcome, I'm Dr Amy O'Donnell. I'm not here to fix you. Because you aren't broken. I believe everyone naturally has the capacity for healing. Together we learn how that looks for you. I help you incorporate natural approaches into your mental health care to create lasting change in mood, stress and sense of purpose. I’m an integrative psychiatrist. I think of my practice as like a one-stop-shop as services that are normally diluted among different providers get streamlined into one place - psychodynamic psychotherapy, medication management, and holistic approaches like nutrition, supplements and botanicals. While I can help with many concerns, my main areas of focus include new and expectant moms, medication de-prescribing and navigating high stress or low mood. We dig deeper to build insight into your whole person, address root causes and establish a resilient foundation so you face life’s challenges with increasing confidence and balance. I’ll be honest; creating lasting change will be challenging and uncomfortable at times. It will require commitment. My promise to you is that you won’t be alone on this journey. If you think we might be a good fit, please check out my website www.naturesflowpsych.com and schedule a free 15-minutes introductory call. I look forward to connecting with you.
Everyone Copes Differently There is no one right way to cope with trauma, triggers, and other difficulties you’re struggling with. However, when your stress and anguish affect your relationships, work, education, self-confidence, or general ability to feel happy, there has to be another way. Wherever you are in your healing journey, your feelings are valid, and you deserve to be heard. But getting the help you need means more than talking to someone who looks great on paper. Finding a therapeutic strategy that works means connecting to a certified professional who understands what you’re going through, how your life is being impacted, and what it means to feel “normal” again. You are enough. My Wellness Center is here to help during your healing journey.
Hello! My name is Dr. Kim Wasserman. I am a private practicing Psychologist with over 30 years of experience in assisting individuals with developing greater self-understanding and life satisfaction via counseling. I work extensively with adults and college students who want to enhance their relationships, improve career/school performance and manage the stress in their lives more effectively. Through psychotherapy, many people come to understand the causes of their current life difficulties and are able to develop and implement 'tools' which allow them to achieve greater happiness and satisfaction in their lives. I am happy to speak with you about how counseling can help you enhance your potential and make a difference in the quality of your life.
As a licensed psychologist, I work with adults and adolescents seeking personal growth and change through psychotherapy. Areas of focus within my practice include anxiety, depression, college student mental health, graduate student mental health, career planning and change, partner relationship concerns, grief and loss, life-long and acquired disability issues, and adjustment to life changes such as medical diagnoses, traumatic brain injury, relationship loss, school transition and death of a loved one. I work extensively with undergraduate students with academic and mental health concerns. Academic stress, choice of major, career direction and planning, time management, motivational difficulties, underachievement, disability adaptation needs, and relationship/family issues are common concerns brought to therapy by college-aged students. Having a safe, reliable space to explore concerns and develop solutions can enhance well-being, satisfaction and success. The academic and research responsibilities of graduate programs can be challenging to juggle. In addition, graduates school can often be an isolating time for many students. Motivation, goal clarification, stress management, school-life balance, relationships, financial concerns, and post-graduate career exploration and planning are among the many challenges graduate students face in their academic lives. Work with graduate students is an integral part of my practice.
Finding a good therapy match is crucial to bringing about the change that you desire in your life. Working with someone where you feel seen, understood and challenged in a non-threatening way creates the safety to explore the unknown and grow into your full potential. I have been in private practice for 16 years and I trained and worked at Tufts University Counseling Center for 4 years. In the wise words of author Sharon Salzberg, "If I opened my heart and mind big enough to take in the suffering, then there would be healing- not because the suffering itself is redemptive or healing, but because of the opening I was cultivating in the face of it."
I work with folks 18+ who are struggling with issues around depression, anxiety, and life transitions, including the transitions and challenges related to the global pandemic. Many of the individuals I’ve worked with in the past considered themselves geeky. I also enjoy working with individuals who are exploring issues pertaining to non-monogamy or polyamorous relationships. I see clients in person Monday in my Pittsburgh office, and virtually Tuesday through Friday WA clients: I'm able to accept the following plans: United Atena Cigna Some Regence/Premera/Anthem plans (please inquire for more details) Lyra Spring Health Modern Health PA Clients: I'm able to accept the following plans: Highmark UPMC Cigna United Lyra Spring Health Modern Health
Stephanie is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and a Certified School Counselor for children in grades K-12. She holds a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Developmental Psychology. Prior to working at Cornerstone Wellness, she was a School Counselor for 12 years in a public-school setting and also spent two years prior to that working as a School Counselor at a Cyber-School. Stephanie did mental health counseling in a private practice setting and worked at the post-secondary level as an Academic Advisor at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh as well. She is very passionate about working with young adults and strongly believes that all people are deserving of love and respect. "In order for positive change to happen, we need to work together as a team to support your goals of achieving happiness, success, balance, and peace. I know that this season of life can come with many challenges but I vow to work closely with you to create a therapeutic plan that we both feel comfortable with". Stephanie's therapeutic approach is centered around a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) model which helps people to understand how their thoughts and emotions affect their behaviors. Her goal is to help her clients learn how to replace their negative thought patterns with more productive ones which will then, in turn, change their behaviors. She knows that teaching people how to shift their mindsets and how to discover new ways of thinking will help them to respond differently to life's stressors and ultimately improve their overall well-being. Stephanie understands that counseling can seem "scary" at first but prides herself on making sessions collaborative and relaxed. She wants therapy to be a safe place where her clients can feel comfortable to just be themselves! "I truly love what I do and I see it as a privilege to witness the change and growth that can happen for my clients as they move through therapy. With that being said, I hope to become a person that they trust and look forward to spending time with."

People come to me because they are struggling and feel stuck or overwhelmed. I see lots of college students in my practice and specialize in working with people who are challenged by anxiety, ADHD, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (level 1) but I have experience with many different issues. My approach involves providing information about how the brain works, how to use it as your ally instead of an enemy, and how to find strength in the very things that challenge you. (ex: There are so many wonderful things about having ADHD!) I do this in the context of interpersonal relationships where we talk about things like identity and communication/conflict resolution skills. I also work with people going through a major life transition. I will help you to sort through your feelings and options, work with you to find insights that inspire positive decisions and changes, and help you to be patient with yourself as you work to figure things out. I pride myself as being an LGBTQ affirming therapist. 15 minute walk from WCU. I also have free, off-street parking.
