Do emotions take over and exhaust you? Have people marveled at how resilient you are or mentioned your sensitivity as a liability? Maybe you sometimes wonder if you’re the only one who is seeing the hurt and pain all around. It’s likely you have figured out how to adapt to what the world wants you to be. You present the part of yourself that is widely accepted by your community and our social systems, but what about the rest of YOU? We always hear that college is the best days of our lives, but it is also a time a self discovery. That discovery process can be painful, and I can help. I guide young adults to connect to their inherent worth, power, and self-compassion. I work collaboratively with clients and draw from an expansive toolbox including body-oriented practices, talk therapy, and expressive arts. I am well suited to work with clients who are interested in mindfulness meditation and other body-based exercises to be the center of their therapeutic experience. My scope of practice includes anxiety, grief, burn-out, persistent depression, relational stressors, survivors of sexual trauma, and those navigating life as an artist. I align with clients whose identities and values defy society's conventional norms. My practice is trauma-informed, and I am dedicated to an anti-oppression, anti-racist, body positive, LGBTQIA+ affirming and equitable lens.

I have a decade-plus history of helping individuals experiencing issues ranging from general anxiety to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. These patients can vary from people who have experienced acute traumatic events, suffered from health-related problems, dealt with adverse childhoods, or are struggling with the problems of everyday life. My training allows me to tailor my approach to the individual whether I am working with a young person navigating life transitions or an adult who has experienced a traumatic event. I am as comfortable reviewing CBT coping skills as I am guiding individuals on ways to regain trust and meaning.

I mostly work with people in their 20s and 30s who experience depression and anxiety or need help navigating substance use, self-esteem, body image, identity development, sexuality, and interpersonal relationships. Life is full of highs and lows, and it is through these experiences and emotions that we grow. I would love the opportunity to help you work through the lows and discover a stronger and healed version of yourself. I have experience working in the collegiate counseling setting, helping students navigate anxiety, depression, adjustment, and substance use issues. I also have experience creating a safe space and working with LGBTQIA+ students with identity development, body image issues, and interpersonal relationships.

Are you feeling down, anxious, and isolated? Are you experiencing struggles with work, life transitions, or unresolved trauma? I am passionate about working with adults, couples, and families who are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, stress management, and life transitions. I am also dedicated to assisting immigrants and international students in navigating adjustments to American culture. My approach is integrative, engaging individuals to learn adaptive coping strategies and embrace the best version of themselves. I am trained in evidence-based approaches such as CBT and DBT. I will help you explore how thoughts impact emotions and behaviors, challenge negative self-talk, and cultivate skills such as emotion regulation. Reaching out for help can feel intimidating. I aim to foster a warm and non-judgmental atmosphere for you to freely share. I would be honored to help you navigate in the direction of your values and goals.

Hi name is Vanessa, The students I work best with often have a lot on their plates. They may be high-achieving or highly motivated, but still feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck. Many are juggling school, work, family expectations, and social pressures, and feel like they’re expected to “have it all together” even when they don’t. The students who tend to thrive in my practice are open to self-reflection and curious about understanding themselves better. I am most aligned with individuals who want practical tools to manage stress, improve confidence, and cope with emotions, but also want space to talk things through without judgment. Clients I serve don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy—many just want support, clarity, and a place where they can be honest. If you’re a student who feels overwhelmed, stuck, or simply in need of support while figuring things out, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to do it by yourself. Therapy can be a place to slow down, feel understood, and build skills that help you move forward with more confidence and balance.

Hey! My name is Jordan (she/hers) and I am currently accepting new clients for individual talk therapy, either virtually or in person at Intersection Therapy's office in Center City Philadelphia. As a counselor, I would be a great fit for anyone looking to work on themes related to shame and self-compassion, body-image, sex and sexuality, dating/relationships, family dynamics, phase of life changes–and especially, gender exploration. As a queer, Jewish, creative person, I prioritize meeting an individual where they are in their story, including their particular intersection of identities–whether it be sexuality, race, gender, disability, illness, or anything else. My sessions are affirming spaces where you can wonder about the wonder that is you! Please contact me for a free 15 min consultation phone call if you'd like to get a better sense of how well we would fit working together, as well as if you have any questions about how therapy can work for you. Props for getting this far–if you're reaching out for help, I am automatically impressed by you!

IOP Sanare Today is an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) that provides group treatment for individuals in crisis or who are struggling with maintaining emotional stability. We offer both mental health and substance use groups. Groups are held 4 days a week to provide more support and direction than traditional outpatient care. IOP groups are provided separately for adolescents and adults. The IOP is an effective step down transition for individuals coming out of a hospital or as a preventive measure to inpatient treatment. Each group session runs for 2 ¼ hours. Family support groups are scheduled weekly or every other week. Sanare Today offers day and evening programs in several different office locations. Life Coaching Sanare Today also offers life coaching. Sanare Today Life Coaching provides guidance for day to day living as well as therapeutic technique implementation. It involves working with adolescents and adults struggling to thrive at their ideal capacity. The core process involves mainly individual, but at times, group sessions. The coaching plan is determined through the collaboration of the client, the coach and the referring provider (if applicable). Each session runs for a total of 60 minutes, unless predetermined otherwise. Sanare Today Life Coaching is designed for individuals who would benefit from more experiential services instead of, or in addition to, traditional mental health or substance use treatment. Life coaching is an effective step down from the intensive outpatient program and an effective addition to individual, one-on-one treatment.

As solution-focused therapists, our goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. Talking with a mental health professional can help alleviate emotional distress and assist with finding solutions to your problems so that you can find your inner balance. If you’re looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you’re just ready to move in a new direction in your life, we look forward to working with you to achieve your goals. Many of my patients are people with multicultural/multiracial families and relationships, immigrants or the adult children of immigrants, people of Asian descent, graduate students, clinicians, or people who still feel empty and unsatisfied after achieving conventional hallmarks of success. Many have experienced shifts in class and/or religious identity who are looking to more deeply understand how their experience of depression, anxiety, or trauma is tied to these transgenerational and cross-cultural forces. With empathy and care, I will partner with you to explore your life, history, culture(s), and the wider world to see how these shape your inner experiences and relationships. In addition to feeling better, my hope is to help you to discover and create new ways of being in the world that feel more alive, flexible, authentic, resilient, and effective. Many people have mixed feelings about starting therapy and finding the right fit is so important for meaningful and long-lasting changes. If this profile has resonated with you in some way, there are no fees or commitments for the initial consultation. If you'd like to meet and learn more, please reach out today or visit my website.
