My name is Maryrose (she/her). I grew up in Reading Pennsylvania and am blessed to call Philly my home. As a woman, a highly sensitive person, and a chronic illness survivor, I let my lived experiences of grief, healing, and transformation guide my work with you in your quest toward greater wellness. With experience serving young adult clients and a background in yoga and meditation instruction, I draw on a holistic approach to support your whole being in moving through life's challenges with more ease and peace. In my free time you can find me singing, dancing, painting, strumming my guitar, and exploring the natural wonders of PA.
I mostly work with people in their 20s and 30s who experience depression and anxiety or need help navigating substance use, self-esteem, body image, identity development, sexuality, and interpersonal relationships. Life is full of highs and lows, and it is through these experiences and emotions that we grow. I would love the opportunity to help you work through the lows and discover a stronger and healed version of yourself. I have experience working in the collegiate counseling setting, helping students navigate anxiety, depression, adjustment, and substance use issues. I also have experience creating a safe space and working with LGBTQIA+ students with identity development, body image issues, and interpersonal relationships.
Moving through change, feeling disconnected, or questioning what’s next can be overwhelming. You don’t have to navigate that alone. I offer a collaborative and compassionate space for individuals, couples, and families to explore the stories that shape their lives. Together, we’ll consider what still rings true, what feels heavy, and what you may be ready to release. I’m especially drawn to working with LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients, as well as those navigating belonging, intersecting identities, and spiritual shame. Our work will move at your pace and center the questions that matter most to you. I’ll walk alongside you as we untangle confusion and constraints to foster greater connection, clarity, and choice. You’re the expert on your experience. My job is to help create space for your voice and to support you in honoring what it has to say. If you're ready to begin, I am currently accepting new clients and would love to connect with you.
You are dealing with the impact of your past experiences, all while trying to keep it together and manage the stress of daily life. Although you want to heal so badly, you feel like you can never quite find a therapist that you can show your true, authentic self to. You may be dealing with anxious and depressed thoughts, relationship issues, traumatic memories resurfacing, or feelings of anger and resentment. You need a space where you can connect the puzzle pieces and find deep and meaningful compassion for yourself. My work is attachment-based, trauma informed, and relational in nature. This means that we won't just look at the symptoms you are experiencing, but also the world around you and how you have learned to survive in it. I will be there to guide you and help bring awareness to the patterns and ways of being that have helped you through these difficulties. If you have resonated with what you have read thus far, I welcome you to reach out! I offer afternoon and evening availability for adults and adolescents to best accommodate busy schedules. My intention is to guide you into your next phase of life that's not only authentic and free but deeply fulfilling. Within our sessions, we’ll create a sanctuary where you can openly explore your desires and aspirations with curiosity and the space to be yourself. Together, we can address: - Managing and easing worry, fears, and anxieties. - Exploring better understanding and coping with low energy and depressed mood. - Relationship dynamics, including familial, romantic, and professional. - Navigating life transitions and the nuance of finding comfort in your new normal. - Uncovering pathways to personal development, through identity exploration, boundary-setting, existential questions, and processing trauma. With each individual's desires being unique, my role is to support you through the challenges and celebrations of life while ensuring that every step you take is moving you towards a life that truly aligns with what you value most. Our collaborative work will empower you, connecting you with your internal strengths and innate healing abilities, to realize your vision with confidence and clarity. Central to our sessions are effective modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), enriched by holistic philosophies. For those interested, I weave in breathwork, mindfulness exercises, guided meditations, and gentle movement, providing a comprehensive toolkit for healing and wellness. I cater to both adolescents and adults, customizing our sessions to meet you on your journey, aiming to cultivate: - An enriching connection with your inner wisdom and compassion. - Authenticity and comfort in your interactions, founded on self-acceptance. - The joy of freely expressing your true self, enhancing intimacy in all relationships. - Routine practices that propel you towards the life you desire. - Clear understanding of your values and future aspirations, grounded in self-trust.
