Therapists for college students near Temple University
College is an exciting time, but it can also bring its fair share of stress, uncertainty, and challenges. You might feel anxious about the future, overwhelmed by responsibilities, or unsure of how to navigate the changes happening in your life. These feelings are completely valid, and you don’t have to face them alone. I specialize in somatic approaches to therapy, which help bridge the connection between your mind and body. This work supports you in building a sense of psychological safety from within, leading to greater confidence, emotional regulation, happiness, and self-assurance. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported. In therapy with me, we’ll take the time to explore your unique needs. I’ll bring empathy, patience, and affirmation into our work, and we’ll collaborate on equipping you with tools to achieve your goals. Whether you’re navigating emotional ups and downs, seeking clarity about your future, or simply needing a space to process everything, I’m here to walk with you on this journey. If you’re new to therapy, I understand it can feel like a big step. I’m happy to answer your questions and help you feel comfortable with the process. Reaching out is an act of courage, and I’m here to meet you where you are. Let’s work together to create a path forward that feels right for you.
I was both the traditional and non-traditional student in my college career that struggled with balancing it all; work, social life, trying to be healthy, get good grades and discovery myself. I wish I knew then what I know now and that is, you may not need to balance but distribute, prioritize, and compartmentalize! We are not just a "talk therapy" practice, we believe in providing tools and skills to get through the life YOU want effectively. Let us help you discover your journey that aligns with your wants, desires, needs, and values.
Are you feeling stuck? Or perhaps you are struggling with difficult emotions, distressing thoughts, or a sense of disconnection from yourself and/or others. Are coping skills that worked in the past failing to make a difference or are now part of the problem? I believe that therapy can provide a unique space to work through difficult life experiences. My goal is to provide you with a safe, supportive, collaborative space that fosters long-term change by helping you understand the underlying thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that get you off track and develop the skills to manage life's challenges. We all have the ability to cultivate a meaningful life, one informed by your values and the things that matter. My approach is grounded in evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I integrate mindfulness, positive psychology, biofeedback, and humor in my approach to treatment.
Deciding to make the decision to go to therapy isn't always easy. It often can be difficult to know where to start. I can understand this. If you are someone who has been feeling lost, stuck, anxious, or depressed- you're in the right place. Maybe you have felt all of the above? Maybe you're someone looking for better tools to manage stress, understand your emotions or communicate with others. A typical session is based on your treatment plan. Sessions are meant to be a non-judgmental space where you are free to come as you. A place where you feel seen, heard, and valued. As a licensed professional counselor, I work with individuals of all ages struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, and trauma. I specialize in treating folks with trauma using EMDR. I also have 3 years of experience treating alcohol and substance abuse disorders. Prior to my work as a therapist, I worked in community mental health for 5 years. Regardless of what you are going through or what you have been through. I understand the thought of asking yourself" what do I do next?" Asking for help is a small act of courage. I invite you to reach out (phone or email) and connect to see if we might be a good fit.
Are you a student who is feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, or depressed? I can help with processing stress related to school, work, friendships, or relationships. It's easy to get lost in our own minds. It's common to feel conflict and tension within ourselves as we navigate life's ups, downs and variety of curveballs. So many of us end up saying "A part of me feels.... and yet another part of me feels the complete opposite!". I'm passionate about working with folks who need a little time and space to sort things out. Whether it's anxiety, OCD, depression, relationship turmoil, uncertainty on identity or goals....we can face life's twists and turns together. I'm here to lend an ear and a helping hand. I'm passionate about therapy approaches and tools that are shown to help. Educating my clients and empowering them to take nuggets of awareness or action from each session into life is top of mind for me when we meet. I have years of experience helping folks sort through the burdens of anxiety, depression, emotion regulation struggles, relationship patterns, and OCD. It's always my top priority to work as a team - two humans sitting down in a sacred space to unravel the knots of uncertainty, discover your inner strengths and craft new approaches that can open up the road ahead. This too shall pass.

My approach is practical, down to earth, and individualized to your needs. Therapy doesn't have to be mysterious or scary. I enjoy working with those who are new to therapy and want to help you feel comfortable and in control. Empirically supported treatments, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, are at the core of my treatment approach. I specialize in: anxiety, trauma, OCD, worry, school refusal, children and teenagers, relationship issues, loss or grief, immigration and acculturation challenges, women's issues, parenting, transition to college or graduate school.
Are you emotionally exhausted, experiencing unsettling transitions or struggling with feelings of depression, anxiety or grief? Are you coping with toxicity within your relationships or having difficulties adjusting to the demands of academic life? My clients learn to use their suffering as guiding information, identifying imbalances and creating a greater impetus toward life change. I serve those seeking a deeper understanding and mastery of their life journey. We will work to increase intimacy and alignment with the core of your essential, authentic self. The archetypal language taps into the universal motivational patterns inherent in both the individual and collective psyches. Utilizing astrological theory specifically allows us to see pinnacle moments of growth potential evident throughout the life cycle, allowing for more conscious use of our efforts toward self-betterment and greater management of our unique motivational personality structure. With that, this theory underlies the tenets of a meaningful and synchronistic universe which can be collaborated with to co-create a more purposeful life and to help with radical acceptance of the things we cannot change. We may use this approach, along with other interventions, to help identify and integrate the disowned parts of the self which lead to recurrent negative patterns. I also specialize in treating victims of narcissistic abuse as they heal from relational trauma and learn to seek self-validation and challenge co-dependencies, honoring one's own limits and divesting from the toxic dynamics within relationships. I have a Masters Degree in Social Work (2006) and practice as a Telehealth Licensed Clinical Social Worker in CT and PA. I also have certification in Conscious Evolution in Archetypal Cosmology via the Graduate Institute (2011), in Archetypal Astrology and Cosmology via the Institute of Transpersonal and Archetypal Studies (2019) and a Certificate in Applied Archetypal Astrology from Pacifica Graduate Institute (2023). I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider (CTMH).

How are you doing with the dystopia? I'm Cori, and with me, therapy starts by acknowledging that we are living in the dark ages. But my clients are heroic. They're intrepid. They're wise. They are struggling to make meaning and survive in a harsh and terrifying era. Most of us feel pretty powerless. I try to offer a brand of queer Buddhist wizardry that helps people break generational curses, find the power they DO have, and create community that sustains them. I offer many evidence based approaches to therapy, especially those that help us change our relationship with ourselves, and changing our relationship with life and reality. Existential therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy, and narrative approaches are my bread-and-butter. I also work from a great deal of other experiences; as an activist, queer organizer, drag artist, social work professor, and a student of many wisdom traditions. I lived abroad in both Europe and Asia and know how alienating, frightening, and difficult it can be to adjust to a radically different culture. I studied tàijíquán and Daoist thought on Wǔdāng mountain in central China from 2010 to 2011, and have studied and practiced Buddhism since 2011 with various Tibetan, Bhutanese, and western Lamas.
