Inner Lakes Therapy is a warm and welcoming virtual group practice. We specialize in working with trauma, neurodivergence, and relationships, identity, and sexuality while prioritizing safety and affirming care. All of our clinicians are BIPOC allied and LGBTQIA+ and ND affirming, if not members of these groups themselves. We do our best to both align with strong social justice values and provide empowering and destigmatizing therapy. Our therapists combine effective, evidence-based treatments that provide a holistic approach to healing, as part of a treatment plan that you and your therapist will build together. They are skilled in many modalities including but not limited to CBT, DBT, IFS, EMDR, MI, inner child work, and narrative, relational, psychodynamic therapies. We look forward to getting to know you!

Do you feel paralyzed by the uncertainty of these challenging times? Is it difficult to find the time to slow down and take a breath? Are you often lonely or worried about what other people think of you? If any of these sound like you, then you've come to the right place. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where we can address anxiety, depression, and perfectionism openly through identifying and exploring underlying disappointments, losses, and traumas. Through this process, we’ll work together to rewrite your “story of loss” into a “story of growth.” It is my goal that students will be able to use the safety of our relationship to learn how to approach life’s difficulties with curiosity instead of fear. As a “recovering academic,” I know how hard it can be to balance school, family, friends, and self-care. Central to my work with students is a commitment to antiracist, anti-capitalist practice. In our work together, we’ll examine how systemic factors influence your worldview and the challenges you face. My approach to therapy is focused on providing emotional support, normalizing what you're going through, and finding ways to make more space for yourself. Above all, it is my priority that therapy is a refuge from day-to-day suffering where we can work together to find joy.

I applaud you for your courage in exploring therapy. I specialize in anxiety, depression, addiction, recovery, grief, loss, LGBTQ+ issues, stress, relationships, self-esteem, and trauma. I employ a Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral approach, emphasizing the reality that what we tell ourselves affects both how we feel and our actions. I sprinkle in Existentialist, Narrative, REBT, & DBT strategies as well, creating a safe, non-judgmental & trusting environment. All are welcome and included in my therapeutic, affirming, and supportive sanctuary. I am a University Lecturer of Psychology at Fordham University. I specialize in EMDR for treating trauma and have worked extensively with first responders on work-related stress & traumas. My research focuses on the sense of belonging for LGBTQ+ community college students. Let me help you reclaim your power by guiding you on the process of choosing love over fear. I am a licensed clinical psychologist and founder of Buffalo Integrative Psychology, PLLC. I believe that every person has an innate ability to heal, change, and grow when provided with a safe and supportive environment. Together, one of our goals will be to increase your self-awareness, identify your current struggles, and explore what might be getting in the way of change. This will help us journey to a heightened understanding so you can take the necessary steps to live a more fulfilled life. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I work to see, understand, and integrate all aspects of you, your environment, and your experiences to move toward healthy functioning. I often incorporate mindfulness into my work to help us get into touch with your experience in the here and now and to help you navigate difficult thoughts and emotions.
