Therapists for college students near Pittsburgh, PA
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience providing evidence-based care in outpatient mental health settings. I specialize in psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adults with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related concerns, and mood disorders. I am committed to building a strong therapeutic relationship with individuals who are seeking meaningful and lasting change in their lives. Your goals, sense of well-being, and definition of success guide our work together. I believe mental health care should feel collaborative, respectful, and personalized. Together, we will create a treatment plan that supports balance, clarity, and an improved quality of life. Seeking mental health care can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered in your care. If you’re ready to take the next step toward feeling more balanced and in control, I welcome the opportunity to work with you.
I offer primarily neuropsychological assessment to provide diagnostic clarity and to help you better understand how your brain functions. This may help you better understand your own unique way of learning, interacting with others, and handling life's challenges. With that enhanced understanding, you can more effectively take steps to improve your daily functioning and live a better and more fulfilling life. I do offer therapy for individuals dealing primarily with the challenges of life stress, anxiety, and low self-esteem. I also have extensive experience working with and helping those struggling with chronic health concerns and head injury related concerns.
There are 4 Minuteclinic therapists in Pennsylvania, available via telehealth or in person, 365 days a year. All of us are licensed, experienced, caring, and motivated to help you get back to thriving. In particular, about me: I am the therapist in Jenkintown. I try to use experiential methods (such as IFS, Internal Family Systems) so that therapy isn't 'just talk'. But if you just want a good compassionate listener, I can do that too. I might be a good choice for you if your situation is complicated, if your feelings are very intense, or if this is your first time reaching out for therapy and you want to make sure it's a good experience (or if you've had bad experiences in therapy before and you want to make sure it's different this time.) Feel free to contact me to see if I'm right for you. Best wishes, Su Siegelman LCSW

The students I work best with often feel overwhelmed by their emotions and struggle with patterns that seem difficult to change. You may find yourself experiencing intense emotions, relationship challenges, impulsive behaviors, self-criticism, or feeling stuck in cycles that leave you frustrated and exhausted. Many of my clients have spent years trying to cope on their own but continue to feel overwhelmed by stress, conflict, anxiety, depression, or emotional ups and downs. My goal is to help you gain greater control over your emotions, make choices that align with your values, and create lasting changes that improve your overall well-being. If you're ready to better understand yourself and build skills for navigating life's challenges, we may be a good fit.
