“The path isn’t a straight line; it’s a spiral. You continually come back to things you thought you understood and see deeper truths.” ~ Barry H. Gillespie My approach is holistic, somatic, compassionate, and collaborative. Somatic psychotherapy allows you to get to the root of your concerns. While traditional talk therapy can be helpful, therapists and healers are realizing the importance of including the body into the therapy process. By blending somatic practices based in the Hatha yoga tradition, you will come to a better understanding of how to regulate your nervous system, and therefore find relief, ease, and strength. As a LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, I am deeply passionate about working with clients who are a part of the community. My specialties include: addiction, trauma/C-PTSD, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, ecological despair/anxiety, religious trauma, Women’s issues, HSP (highly sensitive persons), and bipolar/borderline. I also offer outdoor ecotherapy as a way to deeper connect to yourself and the natural world.

Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates is a network of about 25 Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and Psychotherapists who are academically oriented and practice evidence-based care. We treat anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. We additionally provide neuropsychological assessments for accommodations. Services include Psychiatric Evaluations, Medication Management and Psychotherapy. Patients can generally be seen within 2-3 weeks. Hi I am Abby. I have worked a lot with college students struggling to adjusting to some of the major changes college life can be and help navigate difficult social, academic, or family situations in order to allow you to have the best experience you can. If you're navigating things like perfectionism, people-pleasing, struggles with socializing, a sense of “adulting wrong,” or questioning parts of yourself, I’d be like to support you. I take an approach of being curious about parts of ourselves and work to understand them with compassion rather than judgement. These thoughts and behavioral patterns that may have served an important role once might need to be adapted to who you are now. Let's be curious about them rather than hard on ourselves. I would like to answer any questions you may have so please send me an email, book on my website, or give me a call.
